Lavender Matcha Latte
A Lavender Matcha Latte is the perfectly blended drink to start your day with ease.
We were a little late to the matcha game, but we’re full matcha converts now. If you’re looking for an alternative to coffee or black tea (or Diet Coke—no judgement), we highly recommend giving matcha a try. It’s earthy flavor might be a turn off for some people, but with the right ingredients, we’re confident everyone can find a matcha latte that they love.
This lavender matcha latte is delicately blended with lavender infused simple syrup and oat milk to create a light, slightly floral creamy latte. It’s light on the earthy flavor and heavy on the luxe morning vibes.
Starting the morning off a little slower is a privilege, but with some intention, we can start to integrate moments of joy instead of rushing through the day. These slower, more intentional moments like drinking a lavender matcha latte and journaling for 10 minutes are the epitome of a luxurious life—and can improve mindfulness throughout the day.
What is matcha and where can I find it?
The caffeine-rich green tea powder is packed with a high concentration of nutrients and antioxidants including vitamins A,B,C,E and K. Plus, the vitamin c in matcha stimulates collagen production for beautiful, healthy skin.
You can find matcha in most coffee shops and stores these days, but it’s been an important component of Japanese tea culture for over 800 years.
As for the caffeine, tea drinkers seeking an energy boost will rejoice because it has 2-3x the amount of caffeine as other brewed teas. Even with the caffeine boost, you’re unlikely to get the jittery from the intake because matcha powder contains L-theanine, which has been shown to reduce stress.
Plain matcha is a little earthy for us so we got to work on a recipe that was as delicious as it was luxe.
